As some or most of you may know every Wednesday we host a link up party and we attempt to come up with a different theme each week. The idea behind coming up with a different theme is to help get rid of writer's block, find something fun to write about and to help get those creative writer juices flowing. Twitter is a fantastic social networking tool and the ways in which you can use Twitter are endless. Twitter is a great way to market yourself, market your blog, market your shop, or market whatever else you might need marketed. You can also use Twitter for research purposes or just to find out what's going on in the world. My personal favorite use for Twitter is using it to make connections with people. The amount of people that I've gotten to know through Twitter is hard to even begin to explain and that is why I've fallen in love with Twitter. It's all in the name, Scatter Girls. When Chrissy, Gina and I created Scatter Girls one of the constant themes we discussed was having multiple projects going on at once. Whether those projects be home decorating, shop items, custom orders, handmade gifts or anything else this is what made us Scatter Girls, the ability to scatter our creativity a little bit here and a little bit there.

About Me- Link Up

An about me page on your blog or website can be a great spot for you to obviously introduce yourself to your readers and even introduce your readers to your goals for your site. When I visit a blog or website without an about me site I often feel so lost as to who the author is, who is this person I'm reading about, who is this person behind these words? If I visit a new website or a new blog for the first time and become enticed in the site the next thing I do is look for their about me page to find a little bit more about that author. If there is no about me page I really become quite bummed out. Today were hosting an about me link up party. We want to know more about you! This link party serves as a great way to get to know each other a bit more and stress the importance of an about me page.

There is no doubt in the world that Facebook is the most powerful social media tool out there today. They say if Facebook was a country then it would be the third largest country in the world. So it makes a ton of sense that marketing has become almost a must for businesses today. For this week's linkup the Scatter Girls hope to help gain some exposure to your Facebook Fan page and maybe introduce you to some new Facebook pages that you might "like". Recipe Link Up Party

It is that time of the week again- the weekly Scatter Girls link up time and this week we are linking up recipes! We want to see what you've been whipping up in the kitchen lately. I'm going to share with you all a recipe from my Grandma for Mexican Lasagna, enjoy and then don't forgot to link up!

Helen's Mexican Lasagna

-1 lb. hamburger

-1 pkg. taco seasoning

-1 (15 oz.) can chili beans

-1 (10 oz.) can Ro-Tel diced tomatoes and chilies

-3 large flour tortillas 

-2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

-Shredded lettuce 

-Chopped tomatoes

-Black olives

-Chopped onions

Brown hamburger. Add taco seasoning mix. Grind beans in a food processor and add to meat mixture. Add Ro-Tel tomatoes and chilies. Simmer meat mixture for 10 minutes. Spray a small round round casserole dish with Pam. Put a small amount of meat mixture on bottom of the casserole dish, sprinkle with cheddar cheese and layer with tortilla. Repeat this process until casserole dish is full. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. After removing from oven top with shredded lettuce, black olives, chopped onions and chopped tomatoes as desired (we skipped the black olives when I made it).

Hello my name is Lauren and I have a serious addiction to Pinterest. You too? I'm not alone? Thank goodness! If you don't know what Pinterest is you may have been living under a rock for the last few months, but don't worry we will catch you up! Pinterest is in a sense an online app where you can virtually pin anything from the web that you find interesting, inspiring, funny or just something you may want to read for later. You can also follow others and re-pin their pins. Basically Pinterest is a great place to get ideas. Here are some examples of some items that are pinned.
